20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—21 To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it). Ephesians 3:20-21 AMPLIFIED BIBLE
This is what disappointment looks like to me if it could be described in a picture. You thought you were headed in one direction, just to find you aren’t headed there at all. In fact when disappointment shows up it feels hopeless, unending, and confusion tries to set in because you really aren’t sure now where you are going. The promise or dream isn’t what you thought and it is almost grievous to you…well, let’s just get honest, IT IS grievous to you! The devil loves to play on this. He will show you everyone else “living the dream” and make you feel like you are fighting with all of your might just to see a snippet of yours…a snippet that never seems to come. When you hit one of these places, shake the dust of that road from your feet and move on in peace. Stay determined, not necessarily to see the dream come to pass, but to obey God no matter what it looks like! Determine it is about Him and His glory, because it is! It isn’t about how I look, or even what I want, but how God is portrayed in me and what HE wants. When you do you will find the scenery on that road will begin to change. You will begin to see and experience yourself moving forward.
In order to go forward, some things have to be left behind. Abraham had to leave his father’s land to go forward into the promise. When you go about your daily life and errands you don’t take your house with you. You go and leave your house and your possessions behind. When you give all to God and determine to walk in His love for you and others, but most of all in your love for Him, you will go forth in knowledge, revelation, and wisdom. God has prepared a way and you will go forward and walk therein! He will keep you, preserve you, and prepare you to maintain your place. There is a series of books that is titled “Love Comes Softly“, but love also goes forth boldly!
See how freeing it is to shake the dust from your feet and walk into greater fulness than you ever knew existed. Be grateful when you get there, dear reader, for gratitude is a form of praise. Continue ALWAYS to be grateful, no matter what the road looks like for truly you are walking into something you never knew existed. That is why you could not imagine it. It goes beyond your HIGHEST “desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams”.
To me the fulfillment of the promise GOD has in mind looks, not like the dusty, never ending road but something like this….
A path filled with never ending beauty and a place I didn’t know existed, and a place God has full intention of taking me to!!
Have a blessed day, dear reader! I will see you soon!

Sometimes dusting off and getting up can be a difficult thing to do, but it is the necessary thing to help move us forward in the Lord. Sometimes it is like giving a sacrifice of praise – you don’t feel like doing it, yet you give it anyways. Sooner or later those simple steps of faith leads us into God’s best for us. Thanks for a great word!
So true, Pastor Bright…the righteous may fall 7 times but they get up 7 times, too!
Are you writing to me?!?!?
Yes! Get ready Chrystal….I just hear the Lord saying when you least expect it, IT IS COMING!!! Glory to God, I feel victory for you! I could just run all over this place! You let me know when it happens! Blessings, my precious friend!!
