Today I started walking on the treadmill, again. I decided instead of listening to my favorite list of songs I do my walk to, I would use this time to pray in the Spirit! As I did the Lord began to speak to me about this scripture. When Jesus was raised from the dead, and He ascended to Heaven, His enemies (the devil and all of his imps) were made not only His footstool, but they were put under our feet as well!
Amplified Bible (AMP)
19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,
20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],
21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.
22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church],
23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].
When the Lord reminded me of this He gave me this example. If I am standing on stairs, then boards are under my feet. I walk on top of those boards to go higher! If I am standing on the floor, there is concrete under my feet. I walk across on the concrete to reach my determined destination. If I am walking on the treadmill, the treadmill is under my feet and I walk on it until I have completed my workout to the point I want the workout to go! It is no different with satan. He and his imps are under my feet as a Christian because I am part of the body of Jesus Christ! I walk all over him and his plans, but the BEAUTY OF IT ALL is the fact that with all that satan has planned, plotted, tried to use, and abuse me with, all of it is merely STEPPING STONES TO MY DESTINATION!!! GLORY TO GOD!!! Every word spoken against us, is a stepping stone closer to destiny! Every rejection is a stepping stone to the prize of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus! Every plan satan tries to concoct against us is just a step closer to the higher things God has planned out for us who love Him!!
There is a scripture in the Old Testament that says this:
Isaiah 40:4 Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough
ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.
Do you know what this means, precious heart? It means that the depressed places of your life are going to be lifted to great victories and replaced with great joy! It means that every high thing that seemed unreachable is going to be made low so they are attainable! It means that all of the rough times shall be made smooth and easily walked through to open doors of fresh anointings and the glory of God that lays ahead for you! It means those mountains that blocked you, will be brought low and will be STEPPING STONES for you to walk across to the promise God has had waiting!! This makes me think of that song that says, “Get up off your seat and start to dance!” Dance before the Lord. Visualize the enemy under your feet as you praise Him and stomp and bruise his head!! GLORY TO GOD!!
Remember the battle is the Lord’s and the victory is yours through Christ our Lord!!! Blessings to you, precious reader! I will see you next time!
Throughout the Bible we are constantly reminded to “fear not.” It is not God’s will that we live in anxiety or fear, ever. Remember, He is well able to protect you, your family and all who take a stand on His Word. The following is a prayer based on Scripture. Put yourself and God in remembrance of His Word and know that the only “safe” place there will ever be is under His protection.
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You watch over Your Word to perform it. Father, I praise You that I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and that I shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty—whose power no foe can withstand. I will say of You, Lord, “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust!” For then You will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. Then You will cover me with Your feathers, and under Your wings shall I trust and find refuge. Your truth and Your faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. Father, You are my confidence, firm and strong. You keep my foot from stumbling, being caught in a trap, or hidden danger. Father, You give me safety and ease me. I know You will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on You and I trust in You. I thank You, Lord, that I may lie down and You will give me peaceful sleep, for You sustain me and make me dwell in safety. I shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not come near me. Only a spectator shall I be—inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High—as I witness the reward of the wicked.
Continue to meditate on this prayer for yourself and for your loved ones. Speaking it daily will allow the Word of God concerning protection to reach deep into your spirit.
2 1 In fact, I made up my mind about this:[a] I would not come to you on another painful visit.[b] 2 For if I cause you pain, then who will cheer me other than the one being hurt by me?[c] 3 I wrote this very thing so that when I came I wouldn’t have pain from those who ought to give me joy, because I am confident about all of you that my joy will also be yours. 4 For I wrote to you with many tears out of an extremely troubled and anguished heart—not that you should be hurt, but that you should know the abundant love I have for you.
A Sinner Forgiven
5 If anyone has caused pain, he has caused pain not so much to me but to some degree—not to exaggerate—to all of you. 6 The punishment inflicted by the majority is sufficient for that person. 7 As a result, you should instead forgive and comfort him. Otherwise, this one may be overwhelmed by excessive grief. 8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him. 9 I wrote for this purpose: to test your character to see if you are obedient in everything. 10 If you forgive anyone, I do too. For what I have forgiven—if I have forgiven anything—it is for you in the presence of Christ. 11 I have done this so that we may not be taken advantage of by Satan. For we are not ignorant of his schemes.
A Trip to Macedonia
12 When I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ, the Lord opened a door for me. 13 I had no rest in my spirit because I did not find my brother Titus, but I said good-bye to them and left for Macedonia.
A Ministry of Life or Death
14 But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display[d] in Christ[e] and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 15 For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To some we are an aroma of death leading to death, but to others, an aroma of life leading to life. And who is competent for this? 17 For we are not like the many[f] who market God’s message for profit. On the contrary, we speak with sincerity in Christ, as from God and before God.
I had begun some time back to have back issues. If you are new, it won’t take you long to realize I am, well, clumsy! On my anniversary in December I fell in a hole. I thought I was alright but I began to hurt severely in my back. My hubby and I had gone camping, I didn’t see the hole because it was dusky when we set up our trailer and down I went!
At first I tried to convince myself it was our mattress. I think it did contribute to it! I went and bought a new one that is made for people with back issues. It did really well at first but then I began to have pain again. It grew worse and worse. Finally, I decided it was time to call the doctor. He found upon examining me, I had pulled and twisted every muscle in my back! He prescribed pain medication that made me very, very nauseated. I decided living with the pain would have to do.
On a Sunday, my pastor called out backs that needed to be healed. Mine was! Glory to God!! I went on my way and while I was doing a load of laundry one day I reinjured it! By the end of the day I am LONGING for my bed!!
Tonight, when hubby got in from work, while he was changing out of his suit and into his jogging pants and slouchy Aggie t-shirt that has seen much better days, I decided to lie down on the bed and talk to him. As soon as I did the bed fell to the right (where I decided to lie down)…umm, no jokes, please although plenty come to my mind! I hollered, “What just happened??” Even though hubby was standing less than six feet from me!
“I don’t know”, hubby says with a confused look on his face.
Me…What is this?? I say as I pick up something silver from off the floor.
Hubby…Baby, that is called a bolt!
Like I know what that is! He begins to finigle around trying to see what happened. Nothing looked wrong with it so he decided to ignore it. He put the infamous bolt on the dresser and we went on our way.
As I laid down tonight, as every night, hubby begins to scratch my back which puts me straight to sleep! Gracie is curled up by my side pressing her little face against mine. Oh, there was peace in the world and I was being lulled by the calm. Suddenly, KABOOM!!!!! I jumped!
Me…There it goes again!! What is happening??
Hubby…HUGE sigh….I don’t know, Baby.
He gets up and when I look up I thought I would literally pass out from the hysterical scene I saw. Due to my, umm, age I have a window unit even though we have central air. It keeps the night sweats away. I look and there stands hubby in an Aggie jacket and his underwear. I almost fell out of the bed I laughed so hard!! This time the laughter that was so intense I actually thought I was going to pass out!!
Me…What are you doing in your underwear and a jacket on??
Hubby…That window unit is COLD! Now, I need you to get up, Baby.
Me….Not until I get a picture of this!
I laughed so hard I could not even take the picture at first. If this wasn’t a Christian blog and I didn’t think he would kill me I would post it!!!! Well, with all that said the bed frame was broken. Hubby could only find those infamous bolts to my side of the bed. The ones on his side were gone! I began to pray that he had some place in all of his tools what he needed to fix the frame! I was so glad his side was broken, too because at least that proves I am not a complete elephant and my weight had not broken it like I thought had happened in the first place!
I knew I had not been sleeping well, but I thought it might be like the “Princess and the Pea” story, except I am not a princess and I would never feel a pea if I laid on it because it would definitely squash it! We won’t talk about why!
Thank goodness hubby had all he needed and he fixed it. I feel so sorry for him. It is midnight and he has to go far out-of-town on business early in the morning! I told him he should have pulled me to the lake to camp! He still won’t learn his lesson and realize I am rarely wrong! Well, in a way he is right. The last time he pulled me to the lake I fell in a hole that started this whole business!
I am so glad my husband understands my uniqueness…that is what we will call it, and loves me in spite of it!

When anxiety and fear appear, you know the devil is near! Yes, I made that up all by myself! But, it is true! For two days now the devil has tried to steal my joy, peace, and the belief in the milk of human kindness and he used Facebook to do it. Thank God I know better and know how to turn it around.
I have had really GOOD pastors!! Pastors that loved me, genuinely loved me! Studied their days and some of their nights away so that my spiritual growth was assured! What happened to them, you may ask. They either retired or just became old and died leaving a wonderful legacy!! I have had pastors with their own agenda, which the number one thing on that agenda was getting rich and flaunting their haves to the have nots. I have had pastors that wanted to show you how smart they are so they take all of these commentaries and preach up a storm, just to find out the commentaries were wrong! You don’t need commentaries to tell you, you are right if you will let the Holy Spirit lead and teach you. They simply confirm what God has already taught you!
If you desire to grow leaps and bounds in the Lord, become FULL of His knowledge and revelation I highly recommend Rev. Kenneth Hagin, Sr. and Jr. and Rev. Ken and Gloria Copeland, along with Rev. George Pearsons. That will build a huge foundation for God to build upon! When you hear something that is off, because you have a foundation that can’t be shaken, then you know when you are hearing something that will make you say, “Huh???” You won’t be blown about by every wind and doctrine and you won’t have itching ears! You will know the truth and it will set you free! This is so important so that you don’t get sucked into the wrong church for the wrong reasons! It is important to be informed, so that you are not a victim of cliches, “I want to be a favorite”, etc..
1. In a good church, differences and misunderstandings should be handled in private and with decorum! Matthew 18:15-17 says, ““If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.” You don’t vent it from the pulpit where you describe it in such a way, everyone has no doubt who you are talking about! You have only set that person up for humiliation, not loving correction. Keep it private and as God directs, not a platform to vent!
2. You should ALWAYS strive to keep peace, especially as a leader! This does NOT mean you let sin go and let God deal with it alone!! If your child was going to run in front of a car, would you say, “Well, God will tell Him that isn’t a good idea. I don’t want to upset him by correcting him. It may drive him away from me and I want him to be happy.” Of course not! But correction should be given in LOVE! Love does not mean you never correct!! “Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him!” Luke 17:3. Make sure you are correcting in the right way! “ 24 The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach,[g] and patient, 25 instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth. 26 Then they may come to their senses and escape the Devil’s trap, having been captured by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:24-26. Notice he says we are to be gentle to EVERYONE! We are not just to be gentle to the babies in the nursery. He did not say to only handle the youth group with kid gloves! He did not say to only respect and be loving to the elderly! He said TO EVERYONE!!!! If you are a leader and you take your group on as something personal instead of as God’s children you have been put over as one who guides, instructs in the ways of the Word, and directs to go in the right direction, and you FAVOR them over the WHOLE BODY OF CHRIST, repentance is in your future! You will alienate others and you can easily run them away from your church to another and with deep hurt which YOU have caused!! And what if the hurt is so deep they decide church is not a good place for them? NO! In no way is God in that!
3. The Word of God is being taught in a practical, “I can use this in my personal life” manner. Let me give as an example of Joel Osteen. Joel has many critics, yet he is being met with great success! The body of Christ is growing, people are being saved, healed and delivered! Notice Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Ken and Gloria Copeland, Rhema, and I can name many more are giving the Word in such a way people understand how to live it in their everyday lives and FRUIT is being produced that makes their lives better and the lives of those around them. They do not preach was Jonah in the belly of the whale 3 days or 4? That is flaunting superficial, prideful, so called knowledge they probably got from a commentary. How does that save a marriage? How does that help a grieving mother who is hanging on for dear life because they just lost their baby? How does that help someone whose mate just walked out on them for someone else and now they are penniless and without comfort? IT DOESN’T!! God is always in the business of HELP AND DELIVERANCE!!
The Word and HOW GOD says to live is for a reason. He knows all and instructs and corrects and gives guidelines to preserve the body of Christ, so that satan cannot get in and divide and conquer!! Are you a mature Christian? Are you a mature leader? You know if you are if you are living by God’s standards and not your emotions!
Take an inventory, just as I have had to do! Oh, yes! I found more than one area that had to be dealt with and handled! But, instead of making excuses, I quickly said, “Father, I was WRONG!! Forgive me!” I also had to do some apologizing and my flesh rebelled against it, but I am so glad I did it God’s way and did it quickly. I want NO root of the enemy coming up and defiling any part of my life!
I hope if you recognize yourself in any of this, precious reader, you will do it as well. It doesn’t mean you aren’t a good person or you aren’t striving to be the best for God you can be! Praise God, He corrects those He loves! Maybe we are both feeling pretty loved right now! That is a better thing than we realize, but we will see the fruit and blessing of it and great joy shall be ours! See you next time!
