Prayer for Healing

dove1

Recently, I have had two friends diagnosed with cancer…both are younger than fifty-five.   I just had blood work done that came back with some results I am not pleased with.   I want to see an excellent report on my follow up blood work by the time I see my doctor again.  I ask you to agree with me in prayer for my dear friends and for me, precious reader!  God‘s will is healing, health and wholeness!

PRAYER FOR HEALING/GLORIA COPELAND

This is what Jesus said about prayer, “Have faith in God.  For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain,’Be thou removed, be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass.  He shall have whatsoever he saith.’  Therefore, I say unto you,” this is Jesus speaking “Therefore, I say unto you, what things so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them.”  That’s in your Bible, Mark 11:22, 23 and 24.  Jesus said to believe that you receive when you pray, and you will have it.  Now I am going to pray for you.  Now faith take takes the answer when it prays.  As I pray, you take your answer, and you begin to do what you couldn’t do before.  If you couldn’t lift your arm up, throw it up there!  If you couldn’t get up, get up!  Act on the Word of God.  Why?  Because you’ve received your healing.  Father, I pray for every person.  I pray the healing anointing to come upon them right now in the name of Jesus.  In Jesus’ name, you be healed from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.  You just right now say, “I take my healing.  I take it, Lord.  I take it.”  And, then do something you couldn’t do before.  If you couldn’t throw up your hand, throw it up there.  If you couldn’t move a leg, begin to move in Jesus’ name.  What are you doing?  You are taking your healing.  You take it.  Faith takes!  Glory to God!  And, this is one of the key places when Jesus teaches us about how to receive anything from the Lord.  If you need help in your finances.  Take prosperity.  Believe you receive it, and act on it.  If you need a job, take a job right now as we pray.  Glory to God.  We’re here for you.  We’ve have all kinds of information, teachings on the website, articles, prayers, devotionals, things to help you grow in the Lord. Ken and I are intensely interested in you.  And, we know that Jesus is intensely interested in you and wants you healed and prosperous and well.  This is Gloria Copeland reminding you that Jesus is Lord!  –Gloria Copeland

So What is it to You?

what is it to you

We have all heard this expression…So what’s it to you?  Do you know where it originated from?  Actually, it originated from Jesus and has been whittled down to a “slang” term meaning “How is this any of your business?”  My mother teaches a great lesson on this when she teaches on healing.

Years ago, the enemy really attacked our family in the area of health!  My dad was diagnosed with a terminal liver disease just one week after my grandfather died of a heart attack with no forewarning.   My daughter was thought to be a down syndrome baby.  My grandmother was hit from behind while she was at a dead stop to turn to go home and a woman rear-ended her going sixty miles per hour and paralyzed her from the neck down.  All of this happened in a four-month period.

I will tell you, dear reader,  you either go crazy or you get into the Bible and find out what God is willing to do for you!  Those are your only two options and I know because I lived it!  My mother and dad dug into the Word to find real answers not some silly theologians opinion!  The Holy Spirit taught my parents about healing and my dad is alive and well today because of it!  My daughter graduated sixth in her class in high school, went on to Texas A&M and graduated “cum laude” with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences.  When the doctors said my grandmother would never walk again, she did!   Am I bragging?  YES!  But, I am bragging on God and what He will do if you will do what He says.

During this time while Mother was learning about healing one of her big stumbling block questions which kept coming into her mind trying to rob her of God’s promise of healing was   “Well, if it is God’s will to heal everyone, then why didn’t so and so get healed?  They were a good Christian and had faith!”  There is a passage in the Bible where Jesus was speaking to Peter.  He told him he would one day be tied and taken to a place he did not want to be.  That he would suffer for the gospel.  Peter then looked at John and asked Jesus what about him?  Jesus then replied, “What has John to do with thee?”

I have said all of this to say something about a completely different subject.  I am a little miffed right now, so please bear with me.  I NEVER write anything other than what God lays on my heart.  I don’t just sit down and think, “Well, this sounds good.  I’ll just go with it!”  I wrote on President Bush who is hospitalized and I got a very nasty comment.  Amazing, it happens to be only the second since I have been blogging since March so I am thinking I am pretty blessed.  They criticized something President Bush allegedly had done when he was president years ago.  I don’t know if it actually happened or not, therefore we will not broach this subject.  But to this accuser and criticizer I would like to ask and ask with a smile on my face, “What has he to do with you?”  For all you know, he could have prayed and set that straight with God and you are now pronouncing judgement on what God has forgiven!  That is not a good idea.  For when you accuse someone God does not even condemn, you answer to God Himself and there are no debates with Him that you will win!!

This is the problem with the world today.  We have too many chiefs and not enough indians as my dad always says.  Instead of bringing up everyone’s past, why don’t we work together to find solutions.  I say we ALL begin on our knees in prayer!!  I have blocked  this commentator with great pleasure!  My first problem is fixed there.  But our country faces much greater adversities than a silly person that is trying to get noticed.  Instead of criticizing, pray!   Prayer is more powerful than complaining, gives better and faster results, and brings great joy because it brings answers!  It is so simple, if we aren’t paying attention to the right things we will almost miss it!  Almost!

The White House chaplain himself said on the 700 Club when asked for what should we pray responded the most necessary thing was for America to pray for is WISDOM for our leaders!  Wisdom for ALL of our leaders!  The wisdom that comes from God!!  He wrote a book on it.  His name is Barry C. Black.   It is titled From the Hood to the Hill: A Story of Overcoming.

I think Reverend Black is worth listening to since he works with the senate every day of his life, instead of going on hearsay!  Prayer should begin immediately.  Division has gone on long enough!

I appreciate you, precious reader.  I wish you every blessing!  To my critics, thanks for the message you caused me to pray for God to give me!  This would not have been written if not for you!  And, I say that with a very big smile on my face!

Walk by Faith and not by Sight

7 For we live by believing and not by seeing.  2 Corinthians 5:7 NLT

I got a call one day that one of my fellow church members was in the hospital and her condition was very bad!  She had diverticulitis and her colon had ruptured spilling infection into her blood stream and she was fighting septicemia.  The MRI showed she had 2 large tears in her colon and she was in severe pain running a high fever.   They wanted me to go pray for her.

I have lived in a “medical” family all of my life.  My father was Director of Cardiology at a large hospital in a large city.  Those were our discussions around the dinner table…what each disease was, what caused it, what was the treatment, and what medicine should be used to try to cure it.   I learned quite a bit, thanks to my dad.  I probably would have had more of an interest in medicine as a career but I can’t stand the sight of needles!!  That sort of nipped it in the bud!  When I heard the report on “Sally”, my first thoughts were, “Oh, this is not good!  She is going to have to have part of that colon removed!  They need to move quickly on this!  Septicemia is nothing to play with!  The longer you wait the more disaster she can encounter, including death!”  I didn’t think about one scripture!  I thought about MY  knowledge of things!

I got to the hospital and hoped “Sally” would ask for me to pray the doctors would have wisdom and do the surgery quickly with no complications.   Instead she asked me to pray for complete healing and she wouldn’t have to have surgery.  My first thought was, “Are you kidding me???  You ARE going to have surgery or  you are going to die!” Of course, I didn’t say that.   She had me touch her stomach and it was hard as a brick…that isn’t good.  When I held her hand it was scalding hot from fever!   I prayed the best I could around the subject and left thinking, “Please, Father give the woman sense and don’t let her die while she waits to make her decision!”  I came home and told my husband, “If Sally doesn’t start thinking straight, she is going to die!”  Oh, mighty woman of faith that I am!!

Two days later we get a report on Sally.  They took her for another MRI.  It showed the large rip in her colon had closed, except for about five inches.  The colon was healing and the doctor decided to give the tear a chance to continue to “heal itself” and her fever had broken.  There was no sign of septicemia.  Praise God!

I had to repent of unbelief!  I was so wrong!  I had gone wrong in listening to man’s report.  I had gone wrong in listening to MY knowledge of medicine instead of the knowledge of the Word of God!  I had gone wrong in letting what my five senses told me about Sally instead of what the Word said!  Praise God, lesson learned!!  Sally fully recovered, it has been years ago, she had a colonoscopy and there is NO sign she ever had diverticulitis or diverticula period!!  It is always best we walk by our faith in God and what the Word says than what we feel and see!  Walking that way only limits God.

Take the limits off today, my precious reader!  God can do so much more when you do!  Listen to someone who has learned from experience!  Blessings!!  See you next time!!

“Don’t Undo Your Prayers” (The Power of Prayer Series, Prt 3)

Romans 12:3 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

It is so important we believe in the right thing and hang on to it, even when the circumstances of life say the opposite of what the Word says.  We must have a made up mind that instead of fear, which is faith in what the natural tells us, we must have faith in God, which is what the supernatural tells us!  The Word of God always trumps the natural things of this life!  I have seen people come down for prayer for healing and it is the very next service they are down praying for the same thing, literally begging God to do it.  What happened?  They didn’t really believe they received it the first time.  When you pray believing, don’t ask God again and again for the same thing.  Ask and then thank Him He answered you until you see it in the natural!  Many people negate their prayers unknowingly by doing this.

The Bible says we have all been dealt a measure of faith.  You are going to believe in something.  You will either have faith in God or have faith in man.  Whatever you choose, you are still having faith in something!  Use the faith you have, as Bro. Hagin says, and believe for the right things.  It is just as easy to believe God and will bring a greater reward, than to believe what the world says, which most of the time is doom and gloom!

One year while my daughter was at college, she was coming home for the weekend.  In her haste to get everything packed and get home she put everything in one suitcase.  She rolled it to the car, but had no one to help her lift it into the trunk.  When she did, she lifted wrong and in the process hurt her back.  When she got home three hours later she was in severe pain.  I called the doctor and the nurse told me it sounded like a bulging disk and what to do.  My husband and I prayed for her.  She stayed in pain all weekend.  It was so bad, she could not bend over to put her shoes on.  She was determined to go to church and had to wear a pair of my flats so she could slip her feet in from a standing position.  When we got to church, the pastor said during the service, “If anyone is in pain, come down here we are going to believe for your healing.”  I looked over at my daughter and she was praising God with her eyes closed.  I touched her and said, “You need to go down there!”  My daughter was a pre-med student and couldn’t take time off from college to have surgery and that was what the nurse said would have to be done.  I was believing the nurse more than I was believing God…I might as well be honest!  My daughter refused to go and be prayed for.  I got so mad at her!!  I asked her why and she said, “Because we have prayed the prayer of healing and if I go down there I am saying God didn’t do what I believed Him for!  I will literally negate that prayer.  I am praising Him now I am healed!”  I stayed mad at her the whole service!  See, my mind had not fully understood the prayer of healing and of faith in this instance.  Thank God my daughter did.  I was looking more at what was happening to her in the physical, than what God promised in the spiritual!  My focus was on the wrong thing and it affected my faith!

When we arrived home after church and she came to me with tears in her eyes.  The woman of faith that I am thought, “Oh, no!  The pain is excruciating!!”  I grabbed her and asked, “What is it??”  She replied, “Momma, while I stood praising God, He spoke to me and said I was healed and NEVER again would  I have trouble with my back!”  At that point she bent over several times and touched her toes to show me.  She then threw her hands in the air, and I did as well, and we began to praise and thank God for what He had done.  To this day, my daughter has never suffered with her back again and that was over three years ago!  Now what if she had taken my advice and gone down for prayer to be healed after we had already prayed for that and she had received it?  She would have negated the prayer we prayed, just like she told me!  Thank God, that day I learned this lesson!!

Have you prayed, believed, and received something from God, dear reader?  Don’t negate it by talking the opposite of what you have prayed.  If someone tries to talk like it hasn’t happened, let them know God has done  it and you are praising God for the answer.  If they persist, just change the subject.  Just like me, they may have to see to understand.  Keep believing and see they shall!

Thank you for stopping by, dear reader!  I trust you were blessed by our devotional today!  I will see you next time!!

Healed and Whole…God Promises It!

3He was despised and rejected—   a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.   He was despised, and we did not care. 4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;     it was our sorrows[a] that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,  a punishment for his own sins! 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion,  crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole.   He was whipped so we could be healed.   Isaiah 53:3-5

Psalm 103:1-5 NIV

1 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
2 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
3 He forgives all my sins
    and heals all my diseases.
4 He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
5 He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

Psalm 16:8-11 Ampilified Bible

8 I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety,

10 For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption.

11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
