Momma’s Cowboy Supper

hobo pockets

Momma used to make these when I was a little girl and named them “Cowboy Supper”.  I think the name alone made it even more fun to eat!  It was easy on Momma to make and the name alone got us to dig in!!   They are delicious and easy.  You have your meat and sides all in one packet.   You can literally walk away from it and forget it, then enjoy when it is done!  Quick, easy, and yummy!!

Ingredients:

Baby Carrots

1 lb lean ground meat

Yukon Gold Potatoes (washed and sliced)

1 large sweet onion (chopped)

 Worcestershire sauce

Lawry’s Season All Salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Make hamburger patties and season with season-all salt.  Tear off a large sheet of foil and place your patty in the center.  With the patty in the center bring the sides of the foil up to form a “pouch”  so it can hold the veggies.   Add  chopped onion to the top and the baby carrots and potatoes.  Drizzle with Worcestershire sauce.  Wrap the foil securely around the patty and veggies and seal securely.  Each patty will be individually wrapped and  have its own foil pouch.  Bake for one hour in preheated oven.  Enjoy!

Service With a Smile!

Today, I had lunch with my beautiful daughter!  We will call her Doctor Sunshine, because that is what she is going to be and what she is to me!  Here is a picture of her and my son we will call “the Rev.”….

As we ordered, we ordered something off the menu.  Our waiter didn’t know what we were talking about so he handed us over to his manager, who I see is the manager because she seems to be able to manage any challenge that comes to her!  Here is her picture with the great plate of food she made for us herself!

You can just and tell she is a sweetheart!

Nachos!  Nummy!  And, no I didn’t eat them all by myself…Dr. Sunshine helped!

I love a good restaurant where it is about the customer and making them happy!  Thanks to Sara for a wonderful dining experience!  We will be back!   :))

Oh, and Patty, who is also known as http://thoughtsfromanamericanwoman.wordpress.com/ I felt so much better after you gave me that beautiful word, I got up, put on my make-up, went to lunch with my daughter and laughed and laughed at all she had to tell me!  I feel HEALED, WHOLE, AND MY BODY IS FUNCTIONING TO PERFECTION!  Amazing what a word from the Lord will do for you!!!  Love you, sweet sister!!!  This one is dedicated to you, my precious friend!!
