4 But when the goodness and loving-kindness of God our Savior to man [as man] appeared,
5 He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6 Which He poured out [so] richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Titus 3:4-6
4 We have this kind of confidence toward God through Christ. 5 It is not that we are competent in[a] ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our competence is from God. 2 Corinthians 3:4-5
King James Version (KJV)
5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
-For I will crush satan’s head for he is under MY feet! Romans 16:20
-Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the
uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. Isaiah 40:4 ESV
-I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I
will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. Isaiah 41:18
-5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in[d] the house of the Lord
as long as I live.[e] Psalm 23:5-6
You are blessed, precious reader! Have a wonderful day!
These are my pastors. You will not find two nicer people on the face of the earth…well, except for hubby and me…lol! They are full of the love of God, full of God, Himself, and both have servants hearts!
Yesterday, my pastor’s wife and my friend for over 20 years came to me and said, “I miss YOU!“ I have been working on a huge project and I have had to miss some services due to it. But, she wasn’t just saying, ”I want to see you in church every time the doors are open” she was saying she missed ME! That is love of the people themselves, not just wanting to say I pastor some huge number, or our church grew by so much a percentage, or we took in ten times the money we did last year! It is saying, “I love my flock! No matter what they can or cannot give me, I LOVE MY FLOCK!!”
Our church is growing significantly! Almost every service we have salvations, people filled with the Spirit, and ALWAYS the gifts are flowing in our church. How did this happen? My pastors stayed free of offense and loved the FLOCK and let God grow the church!! Acts 12:24 says, “Meanwhile, the word of God continued to spread, and there were many new believers.” That is our growth program and it works. My pastors stay in love with everyone they meet, they preach the word, encourage us, and take a personal interest in EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US! There are no favorites. All are loved the SAME!
When you have a church like this, you keep who you have and add to it. Why? Because it is a church built on love. What the head is made of trickles down. My pastors are made of love, therefore, the body loves one another! Love can melt the hardest heart! Love is a people magnet and it is so underemphasized!
I appreciate our pastors! Remember it is “Pastor Appreciation” month and do something for yours. It doesn’t have to be a lavish cruise or high dollar checks, although if that is what God speaks to you to do then do it! But, for the most part, pastors I have known just want to see their people growing in God, not lavish handouts. A dinner, a little token of appreciation, a card means more than you know! It means you noticed all their hard work!
Blessings to you, dear reader! I will see you soon! Oh, and if you are a pastor, HAPPY PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH from my heart to yours!
